What is BRIA?

Belts and Roads Initiative in the Americas

(BRIA)

One Belt, One Road

(OBOR)

New Silk Road

What is BRIA?

Out BRIA Forum will have some of the rock-stars of infrastructure, finance and policy to define the opportunities and get the contacts in place to succeed in this coming Infrastructure Revolution.

US$3,000,000,000,000.00 (US$3 trillion) is budgeted for development projects around the world. Started in China in 2014 as "One Belt, One Road" initiative, it's now much more than physical connections. It has grown to become the world’s platform for economic growth including project coordination, trade and financing collaboration, and social -cultural cooperation. It is the Belts and Roads Initiative America (BRIA).

BRIA Forum Chairman, Jonathan Kendall, of the ORLAGO Organization (ORLAGO.net), invites you to the 2017 BRIA Forum at the famous Golden Unicorn on E Broadway St and Catherine St in New York City on 14 September 2017.

Jonathan said,

"I am honored to Chair this special event to explore the opportunities for American business, government and finance that the One Belt, One Road (OBOR), now called the Belt and Road Initiative, will bring to the world. We see BRI America as a critical element that goes well beyond ports and rails and into the transference of ideas and innovation to re-craft the world economy. It's a converged physical infrastructure, a digital infrastructure and a financial infrastructure. The budgets are in-place, the projects need to be planned, designed, implemented and managed."

China has budgeted US$1.7 Trillion for projects from Asia to Europe; the USA has budgeted US$1 Trillion for development; and smart investment bankers and VC's are adding to the funding mix with billions of their own. The budget is close to US$3 Trillion for projects from roads to communications to healthcare.

The “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI) was conceived by the Chinese government to improve trade and economic integration across Asia, Europe, and Africa. The initial strategy envisioned free-trade agreements and infrastructure projects – including roads, ports and railways – to create a modern Silk Road spanning some 65 countries, which have a combined gross domestic product (GDP) of US$21 trillion. The concept included a land “belt” through Eurasia, and a maritime “road” to connect coastal Chinese cities to Africa and the Mediterranean, but not the Americas.

How will North and South American companies, cities and people benefit from this investment and these enormous international projects in construction, infrastructure, tech, finance, legal, energy, education, health, entertainment, media, culture, supply chain, logistics, etc? The BRIA Forum will be a "How-to" event with speakers and participants who have successfully created business in both directions. And some who have not made it work with their perspective and analysis. Meet, network, learn, and do business with this exclusive group at the BRIA Forum.

One BRIA Forum goal is to bring together a network of professional people to cooperate and support the building of lucrative business relationships.

What started out as the One Belt, One Road or New Silk Road with ports, railroad lines and hard infrastructure, now includes multiple physical, digital, financial, intellectual and virtual "highways" to carry products, people, services, ideas, innovation.   The vision is a balance of prosperity around the world...one that can give the Americas a significant advantage.

The 501(c)3, not-for-profit, HEBRASIA Institute, Inc. in New York, NY has created an exclusive BRIA Forum program to demonstrate the potential of China’s Belt and Road Initiative in the Americas. The BRIA Forum will be held in New York City.

What does mean for America?  And how do we profit from it? The BRIA Forum will explore these questions and more.

The growth of the Chinese One Belt, One Road | Belts and Roads Initiative and the Trump $1 Trillion Infrastructure is driving a new way of thinking and a new venues for business.

Hold the date...14 September 2017.

The BRIA Forum will explore the top questions and concerns that will impact the Americas and American business including the finance, policy, engineering, design, energy, technology, construction, education and healthcare sectors:

  • What exactly is the OBOR / Belt and Road Initiative? What is China doing and why?

  • How will this affect the Americas, businesses and policy in the future?

  • How do we compete? How do we all cooperate?

  • How can Americans take advantage of the BRI program to expand economic growth and job creation?

  • How will the BRI fit with the President’s Infrastructure Initiative here in the USA?

  • Corruption, regulation and mistrust between America and China, how will we overcome?

  • How can Chinese and American businesses and investors work together?

  • China is on a Roller Coaster of shifting policies regarding their economy, trade, the USA, North Korea, and their place in the word. What are the next steps for business in the Americas?

  • What is BRIA and what are the steps to take advantage of the pending International Boom?

China established the US$40 billion Silk Road Fund in early 2014 to finance massive infrastructure projects, including the creation of six economic corridors by building roads, railways, pipelines and highways. Additional financing will come from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the China-backed global bank launched in October 2014, and the New Development Bank (NDB), a Shanghai-based bank for the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) countries that have capital totaling $240 billion. Plus the China Investment Corp. in New York and Toronto is actively seeking America investment opportunities with $200 billion in registered capital. The overall budget for the BRI program is closer to $1.7 trillion, but where will the “economic delta” come from?

While China presents the “Belt and Road Initiative” as a move toward global economic cooperation, its expansive reach is seen by some in the United States as a major concern. China’s influence is growing on the world stage. The BRI enhances Beijing’s economic, political and cultural standing in all the countries it touches. It also challenges trade agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership, in which the United States recently backed out. This both complicates and opens a number of opportunities for American business products and services. What are the next steps?

China wants the USA to be a partner in the OBOR / BRI. The USA and Canada, and potentially the entire American continent, can have a keen interest in the BRI. This can become BRIA, Belts and Roads Initiative America. The Americas can provide unique and advanced technology, content, security, policy, education, healthcare, funding, financial services, engineering, design, management, planning and policies to diminish geopolitical challenges for the projects. But, there are huge, some say insurmountable, obstacles from both perspectives. How do we manage the challenges?

America “has a lot to gain by participating in the Belt and Road,” said an opinion piece in China’s People’s Daily newspaper. They suggested the USA should “embrace China’s progress in regional integration and seize the opportunity.” We agree, but in the context of what America does best.

Ultimately, we feel strongly that the BRI Concept will come to the Americas in a big way. China and the USA are still the world leading economies, and expanded business with Brazil, Mexico and Canada will provide a significant opportunity for those ready to take advantage via the BRIA.  How it comes together will be discussed at the BRIA Forum NY.

An included initiative for discussion and implementation is the Metropolitan Jerusalem project as a hub of the infrastructure, economic and cultural transformation in the region and a strong connection to both the USA and China.

The not-for-profit HEBRASIA Institute is producing the exclusive BRIA Forum in New York City on Thursday, 14 September 2017 to explore these and more issues and opportunities.

This exclusive event will bring together some of the leading experts on the Belt and Road initiative in the USA and China. Leaders in finance, legal, consulting, education, media, health, tech, construction and real estate will coalesce to enhance how to understand and execute the opportunities the BRI could bring to America.

“We see the BRI, that originally focused on maritime and rail trade routes, has now taken on a new vision. The new direction will include the digital superhighway to bring skills, jobs, education and healthcare to the Chinese but also distribute Chinese intellectual assets to the world. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the skills that are unique to the Chinese economy in engineering and heavy industry are just two of a huge cache of business products, services and expertise for export and monetarization by Chinese businesses.  America needs to be prepared for the incredible opportunities that will open because of the BRI…and the opportunity to expand the program to BRI-America,” said Moshe Gluzman, Executive Director and President of the HEBRASIA Institute. “The opportunity to provide Digital Assets to the BRI could be unlimited particularly in the areas of culture, media, education and healthcare.”

The HEBRASIA Institute leadership and Forum Chairman will invite speakers and experts from government, finance, real estate, infrastructure, construction, energy, business, and technology that have succeeded and failed in Chinese | American commerce.

Who should attend?

C-Level Executives, Board Members, Directors, Managers, Business Development, International Market Executives from:

North and South American business leaders, technology, education, healthcare, media, culture, travel, tourism, hospitality, infrastructure, engineering, construction, real estate, financial services, and any company or organization with an eye for international expansion. Public Entities, Local and State governments, Mayors, Infrastructure Council, Commissioners, and Utilities should attend to see how to grow with BRIA.

The event will begin at 8:30AM and go to 5:30PM in Manhattan, New York City. We have a lot to accomplish, so coffee ad tea will be served along with regular coffee breaks. We will try to allow time for email, text and office calls, but cell phones are required to be on silent or turned off during the forum in respect for all.
